The show
John Taylor lives in quiet solitude, designing puzzles for a living, under the nom-de-plume of 'Ludwig'. When his identical twin, James, disappears off the face of the earth, John takes over his brother's identity in a quest to discover his whereabouts.
People love this show, and it's almost all because of David Mitchell. His performance as the identical twins John and James is a masterclass, with his dry humor and palpable tension being the main attraction. The story, a missing twin mystery, is solid and original enough to keep you hooked, even if some found the pacing a bit off. The supporting cast, especially Anna Maxwell Martin as Lucy, is reliably strong. The only real complaint you'll see is about the show's visual style, which a few viewers found flat, but that's a minor gripe for a series this well-acted and clever.
