Replaced is a 2.5D sci-fi retro-futuristic action platformer where you play as R.E.A.C.H. - an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body against its own will. Replaced combines cinematic platforming, pixel art and free-flow action combat set in an alternative 1980's.
The pixel art and overall graphics are a clear hit — the 2.5D sci-fi world looks incredible. Where opinions split is on the actual experience: the core gameplay and story land as just fine for most, but the technical state is a disaster. Performance issues are the overwhelming complaint, with players on PC and Xbox calling it borderline unplayable due to crashes and bugs. It's a beautiful mess that's hard to recommend unless you're on Game Pass and have a high tolerance for jank.
