40 Dates and 40 Nights

This is a perfectly watchable, if familiar, rom-com that lands in a split, mostly middle-of-the-road zone. Bailee Madison carries the film as the burnt-out Leah, but the premise of her going on 40 dates in 40 nights for rent money feels completely unoriginal to those who mention it. The story's predictability is its main weakness, though the acting is solid and the humor that's there lands well.
