This adaptation of Orwell's classic is a near-total misfire that people overwhelmingly hated. The story and originality are panned as a clumsy, heavy-handed mess, with Andy Serkis's direction widely criticized. The voice cast, led by Seth Rogen's Napoleon, fails to land, while the few who found anything to praise pointed to Laverne Cox's Snowball or the tragic character of Boxer.
