What people are saying
Updated nightlyPeople are loving this energetic dance movie, with its story about two friends, Maya and Anjali, joining a Bollywood-fusion team at UCLA. The vibrant visuals and feel-good humor land really well, and director Lena Khan gets a lot of credit for the film’s spirit. While Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s lead performance as Maya is the most talked-about element, Priyanka Kedia also gets strong marks as her friend Anjali. The biggest gripe is that it can feel a bit familiar, with a few people calling out the pacing as rushed. Overall, it’s a crowd-pleaser that delivers exactly what it promises.
