People mostly loved this college Bollywood-fusion dance competition flick for its feel-good energy. The story about best friends Maya and Anjali is a familiar underdog tale, but it's executed with enough heart that most didn't mind. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan carries the film as Maya, and the whole cast gets high marks, with Hasan Minhaj's cameo landing especially well. The visuals are a major highlight, making the dance sequences pop. A few found the humor a bit hit-or-miss and wished the concept felt fresher, but it's a crowd-pleaser that delivers exactly what it promises.
