What people are saying
Updated nightlyPeople are mostly into this sharp, funny take on influencer culture, where a plucky dishwasher, Maddie, rockets to fame at a food content company. The high scores for humor and originality mean the jokes land and it feels fresh, even if the core story about a secret from her past gets some mixed feedback. John Early, who also directs, is the clear standout as Maddie Ralph, carrying the film with a performance most found hilarious and compelling. Kate Berlant as Deena and a solid supporting cast, including Vanessa Bayer and Conner O'Malley, get praised for rounding out the vibe, though a few people felt Claudia O'Doherty's character, Emily, didn't quite work.
