Most people who talked about this weren't sold, with the story about a violinist's tutoring gig turning into a psychological battle getting slammed as unoriginal and poorly paced. Chlöe Bailey gets praise for her performance as Laila Calloway, and Lynn Whitfield, Lucien Laviscount, and Coco Jones all get shout-outs, but the character of Laila herself is a sore spot.
