What people are saying
Updated nightlyMost people really liked this one. Matthew McConaughey is the charismatic, musical heart of the film as Amziah King, and he gets heaps of praise for carrying the story of a honey magnate trying to reconnect with his foster daughter. The visuals and the originality of the backwoods bluegrass world are also huge standouts. A few people found the pacing a bit slow, and while Angelina LookingGlass as Kateri gets some good notices, the reception for other supporting players like Kurt Russell is surprisingly cold. But overall, it’s a strong, well-acted, and beautifully shot film.
