Assassin's Creed Netflix Series Nears End of Filming in Italy

Netflix's live-action Assassin's Creed TV series is almost done filming, according to a new update. ScreenRant reports that Ubisoft confirmed production is close to wrapping, with shooting taking place in Italy. A behind-the-scenes photo shows the franchise's Head of Content, Jean Guesdon, visiting the set.
The show, which features an original story separate from the games, has a cast that includes Toby Wallace from The Boys: Mexico and Claes Bang. Filming has been based primarily at Rome's Cinecittà Studios, where an existing ancient Roman set is being expanded to match the franchise's aesthetic.
Ubisoft also announced that composer Hannah Peel has joined the project. She has previously worked on Insomnia and a Game of Thrones documentary. Her involvement was shared as part of a Fall 2026 update from the company.
While the behind-the-scenes image was shared, it deliberately shows little of the actual production, keeping spoilers under wraps. No release date for the series has been announced by Netflix or Ubisoft, so fans will have to wait for that final confirmation.
