Chris Pratt Returning for New Terminal List Series Savage Son at Amazon

Chris Pratt is strapping back in as former Navy SEAL James Reece. Variety reports Amazon is moving forward with "Savage Son," an adaptation of the third novel in Jack Carr's Terminal List book series.
It's not yet clear if this project will be branded as a third season of the main show or as a standalone series within the same universe. Sources told Variety it's more likely to be a standalone entry, similar to the prequel "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf" that starred Taylor Kitsch.
According to TheWrap, the series is described as a military thriller that puts Reece on his most perilous and intimate assignment to date, blending action, espionage, and wilderness survival. ScreenRant adds that the novel sees Reece trying to recover in Montana, only for past enemies to hunt him down, sparking an international conflict.
Peter Friedlander from Amazon MGM Studios said the franchise continues to connect with viewers, praising Carr's storytelling and the team's dedication. He called "Savage Son" the story's most intense chapter.
The news follows the October 2026 debut of The Terminal List's second season. The new show will be a production from Amazon MGM Studios alongside MRC and Civic Center Media.
