Control Resonant Sends Remedy Revenue Soaring as Fastest-Selling Game Ever

Remedy Entertainment just posted some wild quarterly numbers, and it's all thanks to Control Resonant. According to Eurogamer, the developer's revenue skyrocketed by 226% following the game's September launch, pulling in €39.6 million for the quarter.
CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon called the results a defining milestone for the company. Per the report, the studio swung from a €16.4 million loss last year to a €0.6 million operating profit this quarter.
PC Gamer reports that the financial spike is driven by Control Resonant, which sold its millionth copy just three weeks after launch. This makes it the fastest-selling title in Remedy's history, outpacing previous hits like Alan Wake 2 and the original Control.
A major win for the studio, according to statements from Gaudechon reported by both outlets, was attracting fresh players. Nearly half of Resonant's player base were newcomers who had never played a Control game before.
The CEO said the immediate goal is to get the game into more hands, citing a substantial player wishlist. Gaudechon also stated the successful launch creates strong momentum for the company's future, with other projects continuing in development.
