Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Gets October Premiere Date and Killer Teaser
Dexter Morgan is coming back with a new prescription for murder. Paramount+ has announced that the second season of Dexter: Resurrection will premiere on Friday, October 30, according to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
A new 40-second teaser, reported by the outlets, shows Michael C. Hall's character undergoing an eye exam and putting on glasses, followed by quick cuts of sharp tools and violent imagery. The tagline declares he's "back and sharper than ever."
The official season two logline, detailed by TVLine, states Dexter will be "caught between two killers." One is a notorious veteran with a long history, while the other is described as a fresh young face terrorizing New York. The logline also says Dexter will be battling a mid-life crisis, while his son Harrison continues his own quest.
Brian Cox joins the cast as the infamous New York Ripper, a character referenced last season. New series regulars include Dan Stevens, Bokeem Woodbine, and Nona Parker Johnson, per The Hollywood Reporter. Gabriel Luna will appear as a guest star.
Returning cast members include Jack Alcott as Harrison, along with Uma Thurman, James Remar, and Krysten Ritter, who is back for a guest role.
