Final Fantasy 14 lands on Nintendo Switch 2 this August

The long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 port of Final Fantasy XIV Online finally has a date. Per IGN, the MMO will launch on the new console on August 4, 2026.

Nintendo Life confirms that pre-orders for the title are now live. Square Enix had previously teased an August arrival earlier this year.

The move brings the enduringly popular online fantasy world to a major new portable platform, potentially opening it up to a fresh wave of players.
