Game of Thrones: War for Westeros puts Jon Snow vs Night King in 2027
According to Collider, the long-delayed 'Game of Thrones' video game will finally let players control Jon Snow. The game, titled 'Game of Thrones: War for Westeros,' is now slated for a 2027 release.
Per the report, the strategy title will let fans step into the role of Jon Snow for a showdown with the Night King. This confrontation was famously set up over seven seasons of the HBO series before a different character landed the final blow.
Players will have the choice to command various great houses and armies, influencing the outcome of wars and battles. The game is currently planned for a PC-only launch.
Collider also notes that while a 'Game of Thrones' feature film about Aegon's Conquest has been discussed, HBO's top executive recently stated there are no new spin-offs in active development beyond the two announced series. Any potential movie is likely in very early conceptual stages.
