Grant Morrison calls Jason Momoa's Lobo one of the worst performances they've seen
DC legend Grant Morrison has weighed in on the recent Supergirl movie, and they are not a fan of Jason Momoa's turn as the Czarnian bounty hunter.
In a Substack post, per /Film, Morrison said they were looking forward to Momoa's Lobo but found the result "very disappointing." They called it a bafflingly bad performance, especially given that the character seemed tailor-made for the actor.
Morrison had kinder words for Milly Alcock's Supergirl, noting that the film's most emotional moments centered on her. However, they took issue with the overall plot, arguing that a trip to a yellow sun world would have easily cured Krypto, making the central poisoned-dog motivation fall apart.
The writer's criticism wasn't limited to Supergirl. In the same post, Morrison expressed enjoyment for the Lanterns series, praising the casting of Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre. They also reiterated high praise for James Gunn's Superman movie, calling it the closest any film has come to capturing the feeling of the comics.
