The real review

Milly Alcock is the clear star here, playing Kara Zor-El, and the acting is basically the only thing that works. As Supergirl, she's compelling on a revenge road-trip across space with an unlikely companion, but the story itself is seen as derivative and poorly paced. Jason Momoa's Lobo gets some love as a fun addition, though the villain is universally panned. It's a divisive movie where the lead performance shines in an otherwise forgettable package.
