The film
When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.
Milly Alcock is the only thing saving this movie. People agree she's a great Supergirl, with Kara herself being one of the few bright spots in a story that feels completely unoriginal. The interstellar revenge road-trip plot is a slog, with terrible pacing and a lack of any fresh ideas. Jason Momoa's Lobo gets a few laughs and some grudging approval, but that's not enough to make up for how thin the rest of it is. The director Craig Gillespie, along with James Gunn, took a lot of heat for how this turned out.
