GTA 6 digital codes in Japan will expire just 170 days after launch
Grand Theft Auto fans in Japan planning to grab the physical PS5 edition might want to redeem their code fast. The digital voucher included in the box will expire just 170 days after the game launches this November, according to reports from VGC and Push Square.
Push Square notes the countdown appears to start from the game's November 19, 2026 release date, not the day you buy it. Rockstar's website reportedly cites "regional regulations" for the unusually short redemption window.
This policy only affects the physical edition in Japan, which contains a download code instead of a disc. It means players have less than six months to claim their digital copy of one of the most anticipated games ever.
