Halo Fans Locked Out Of Paid Early Access, Xbox Tests Free Cloud Gaming
Xbox players who shelled out extra to play the Halo: Campaign Evolved remake early are currently locked out, per reports from GameSpot and Kotaku. Fans on social media expressed frustration, with one reportedly lamenting they'd even changed their work schedule for the launch. Microsoft is scrambling to fix the issue.
Meanwhile, Kotaku and Polygon report Xbox has started testing a free, ad-supported tier for its cloud gaming service. The model would offer an hour of playtime in exchange for watching up to two minutes of ads, a concept Microsoft reportedly defended by stating advertising has 'existed in gaming for decades.'
In other platform news, VGC reports Amazon is integrating its Luna game streaming service directly into the Prime Video app, making it easier to find.
