House of the Dragon finale sparks major character deaths and a key book change
The Season 3 finale of 'House of the Dragon' was a brutal bloodbath. According to TVLine, a major casualty was Lord Ormund Hightower, played by James Norton, though he was far from the only one to fall in the climactic battle between the Blacks and the Greens.
Actor James Norton spoke to Variety about his character's demise, calling his dynamic with co-star Roddy the Ruin 'oddly intimate' and explaining his love for Daeron had to feel 'real'.
Showrunner Ryan Condal, who also spoke to Variety alongside star Emma D'Arcy, explained a significant change from the source material in the finale, per The Hollywood Reporter. Condal also promised fans 'a very worthy final season' is on the way.
