Law & Order: SVU brings back Stephanie March as ADA Alexandra Cabot

Alexandra Cabot is heading back to the courtroom. Variety reports that Stephanie March will return to reprise the fan-favorite role in the ninth episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's current 28th season.
The actor first played the assistant district attorney as a series regular from Seasons 2 through 5. Her character was famously written out by faking her death to enter witness protection, per TVLine. March has returned for multiple guest stints over the years, with her last appearance being in Season 19 back in 2018.
Her return follows another planned comeback from Chris Meloni's Elliot Stabler, who is set to appear in the show's forthcoming 600th episode. The series continues to air on NBC every Thursday night and is available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
March's other notable credits include roles in The Invention of Lying and Ava DuVernay's series Naomi and film Origin.
