Lost Star Wars series finally gets a release, but it's a collector's item

A forgotten Star Wars project is finally escaping the vault, but don't plan on streaming it. According to reports from /Film and Collider, the animated series 'Star Wars Detours' is getting a release after being shelved for over a decade.

Originally developed under George Lucas, the series was completed but never officially released after Disney acquired Lucasfilm. Now, fans will get a chance to see it, but there's a major catch.

Per Collider, the release is being handled as a limited, high-end collector's item, meaning most fans likely won't have access to it. The outlets report this marks the final Star Wars project Lucas was directly involved with before stepping back.
