The cast of the long-awaited fourth 'Mummy' film might be adding a fresh face from a recent horror hit. Variety and TheWrap report that Michael Johnston, star of this year's low-budget box office sensation 'Obsession', is in early talks to join the project.
If the deal goes through, Johnston would star alongside Academy Award winners Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. Johnston previously gained fame on the TV series 'Teen Wolf', but his breakout film role in 'Obsession' reportedly caught the studio's eye.
The news confirms that Universal is actively moving forward with 'The Mummy 4', reuniting the iconic franchise's original stars with new blood.
