New Star Trek Card Game Officially Announced for 2027
ScreenRant reports that a new Star Trek tabletop game is on its way. Titled "Star Trek Captain's Chair - Resistance is Futile," the fully standalone card game is set for launch in Q3 2027.
The game is designed for one or two players, with sessions running between 60 and 120 minutes. Players will choose a captain from the franchise and command ships, crews, and away teams, managing resources and alliances.
According to the official description, each captain has a distinct deck tailored to their personality and abilities. These decks can be enhanced with shared cards featuring characters, items, planets, and events from iconic Star Trek stories. The mix of personal and common cards creates varied strategies depending on an opponent's playstyle.
Victory requires pursuing diplomacy, exploration, and science. A solo mode is also included for single-player sessions. Pre-orders for the game are reportedly available now through select retailers.
