P-Valley to End With Third and Final Season This December
The Pynk is closing for good. According to reports from Variety and TheWrap, Starz has confirmed that the upcoming third season of "P-Valley" will be its last.
The strip club drama will return for its final run on December 4. The first two episodes will drop that day, with new episodes streaming weekly on Fridays thereafter. Per Variety, this premiere comes over four years after Season 2 aired. The final season will consist of nine episodes.
Creator and showrunner Katori Hall shared a letter with fans, obtained by both outlets, announcing the decision to end the series. "The rarest honor a showrunner can have in today’s industry is to end a series on her own terms," Hall wrote. "This is why I chose to say goodbye with grace, grit and glitter, lowering the curtain on P-VALLEY at Season 3."
Starz also released a first-look teaser and images for the new season. In a statement provided to the outlets, Starz programming president Kathryn Busby praised the show's "courageously bold, powerfully provocative and deeply inclusive storytelling" and thanked Hall and the cast and crew for the final chapter.
The network says the season finds the town of Chucalissa flooded with money from a new casino, bringing more mayhem. At The Pynk, Uncle Clifford dreams of expanding her empire while other characters grapple with new threats and old rules.
The series, based on Hall's play "Pussy Valley," was renewed for Season 3 back in October 2022. Its production was later delayed by the 2023 Hollywood strikes.
