Pickleball comedy 'The Dink' serves up a soft underdog story

Forget about hitting hard. According to Variety, the new sports comedy 'The Dink' takes a softer approach, mirroring the game's signature gentle shot.

The film follows a pompous former tennis star who finds himself in the world of pickleball. Director Josh Greenbaum reportedly matches the sport's light touch with a mild, softball comic style.

It seems the movie is banking on the sport's growing popularity to score points, aiming for a feel-good underdog vibe rather than a hard-hitting comedy.
