Seth Green says he was never asked to return for canceled Buffy reboot
Seth Green was left out of the loop for Hulu's canned Buffy revival. On a recent podcast episode, Green revealed he was never contacted about reprising his role as the werewolf Oz in the planned series.
Per Variety, Green said on "The McBride Rewind" podcast, "I was not part of those talks." He clarified that while he wasn't involved in discussions, he would have been open to it.
The actor added that if an Oz story had been written, he'd have been interested to see where the character ended up. The reboot, titled "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale," was canceled after its pilot.
The planned show would have starred Ryan Kiera Armstrong as a new slayer, with original star Sarah Michelle Gellar returning as Buffy. Representatives for 20th Century and Hulu did not comment on the report.
