Sony's new Spider-Man movie swings to a massive $927 million global haul

Sony Pictures is breathing easy after its latest Spider-Man film scored a huge financial win. Per Push Square, the movie has pulled in a massive $927 million globally.

Its domestic opening was also huge, with reports claiming the film, titled 'Brand New Day', earned $168 million just on Friday. Sony is now projecting a colossal $325 million opening weekend.

That figure puts the web-slinger's latest adventure in a direct box office battle with 'Avengers: Endgame' for the biggest opening weekend in history.
