Spider-Man and The Odyssey lead UK to strongest August box office since 2018
The UK box office just had its hottest August in nearly a decade, according to Variety.
A total of $161.3 million was earned in ticket sales last month, marking the strongest August performance since 2018.
The surge was propelled by two major releases. The first was the superhero sequel 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'. The second was the epic adventure film 'The Odyssey'.
Together, these two films drove the market to its best August result in almost ten years.
