Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter Parker he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see.

People are mostly loving this, and it's a total visual treat, with Tom Holland's solid performance and Destin Daniel Cretton's direction getting a lot of credit. The story of Peter Parker struggling under the weight of his secret life hits well enough, even if some found the pacing a bit off. Zendaya's MJ and Sadie Sink's new character land okay, but the real standout is Jon Bernthal's Punisher, who absolutely steals his scenes. A few people really didn't connect with this new "Brand New Day" era for the character, but most are on board.
The trend appears once there are a couple of scoring runs to compare.
