Tom Hanks Revives David S Pumpkins in Wild SNL Cold Open

Tom Hanks brought back his bizarre lounge act character for a Halloween cold open on Saturday Night Live, per Variety.
The sketch began as a couple visited a spooky amusement park ride guided by Kenan Thompson's Grim Reaper. Hanks appeared as David S. Pumpkins, dancing with Mikey Day and a cameo from former cast member Bobby Moynihan, both dressed as skeletons.
James Austin Johnson's Donald Trump then crashed the scene, complaining about poor midterm election polls for Republicans. The segment included several jokes about Trump's recent focus on male candidates' physiques, with the character admitting he 'might be gay' and praising a 'dynamic ass.'
The bit also included a portrayal of Nicki Minaj by cast member Saidah Belo-Osagie. Her Minaj lamented that supporting Trump was killing her career, while Trump noted her famous curves would be better 'on a man.'
The Halloween episode was hosted by actor Inde Navarrette, with singer Gracie Abrams as the musical guest.
