Total War: Warhammer 40,000 Features the Biggest Unit in Series History

The upcoming strategy game Total War: Warhammer 40,000 is set to include the largest unit ever seen in the Total War franchise, according to a developer livestream covered by IGN. As you'd probably guess, this mega-unit belongs to the Orks.

Rock Paper Shotgun reports that the game is threatening to blow up Total War's combat fundamentals. The stream showed a battle between the Imperium and the Orks, with developers discussing a new focus on ranged combat mechanics like drop pods, flamers, and evasion stats.

It looks like Creative Assembly is aiming to bring some serious 'Newswaaaagh' to the classic strategy formula.
