Viola Davis to lead corporate thriller 'Ascent' for Paramount+

Viola Davis is set to headline a new thriller series for Paramount+. According to reports from Variety and TVLine, the project is titled "Ascent."

The official logline describes the show as set in the dangerous world of global corporate crisis and damage control. Davis will reportedly play an elite corporate fixer named Catriona Vail.

The role marks a return to television for the How to Get Away With Murder alum. Paramount+ has officially greenlit the series.
