Zak Penn Scripting 'Ready Player Two' Adaptation, Eight Years Later
The OASIS might be logging back in after all. According to JoBlo, a film adaptation of the novel "Ready Player Two" is still in development, with screenwriter Zak Penn now on board to write the script.
It's been a long eight years since Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One" hit theaters. The new project would follow Ernest Cline's sequel novel, which continues the adventures of Wade Watts in a vast virtual reality world.
No director or cast has been announced for the potential sequel, and the project remains in the early script stage. The report suggests Warner Bros. is still hoping to unlock this particular franchise level.
