A young boy known as the Avatar must master the four elemental powers to save a world at war — and fight a ruthless enemy bent on stopping him.
Most people are enjoying this live-action take on the Avatar story, thanks largely to incredible visuals and some standout performances. The action looks great and the humor lands, with characters like Zuko, Toph, and Iroh getting a lot of love. The main gripes are with the story feeling unoriginal and the pacing, and the central character of Aang, played by Gordon Cormier, didn't quite click for a lot of viewers. It's a solid watch for the spectacle and the stronger side characters, even if the core narrative feels familiar.
