Most people really enjoy this show, and the big reason is the humor. The misadventures of Cricket Green and his country family in the city land as genuinely funny. While some find Cricket himself hit-or-miss, his sister Tilly and dad Bill get consistent love for their performances. The few who had a real problem mostly pointed to a lack of originality in the stories, but that's a small complaint next to the laughs.
