SpongeBob SquarePants
Deep down in the Pacific Ocean in the subterranean city of Bikini Bottom lives a square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, loves his job as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab, and has a knack for getting into all kinds of trouble without really trying. When he's not getting on the nerves of his cranky next door neighbor Squidward, SpongeBob can usually be found smack in the middle of all sorts of strange situations with his best buddy, the simple yet lovable starfish, Patrick, or his thrill-seeking surfer-girl squirrel pal, Sandy Cheeks.

What people are saying
Updated nightlyPeople genuinely love this show, and it's mostly because of SpongeBob himself, the classic humor, and the iconic voice acting from Tom Kenny. The jokes and character performances are consistently praised, carrying the whole series even when the storylines themselves are more hit-or-miss. Of course, the original creator Stephen Hillenburg and the classic dynamic between SpongeBob, his grumpy neighbor Squidward, and his simple best friend Patrick Star are considered the heart of it all. While some fans compare it to other long-running series like *One Piece*, the consensus is that SpongeBob's enduring, chaotic charm in Bikini Bottom is what keeps people watching.
