The story itself gets praised for being compelling and emotional, and Parker's performance is a huge part of what keeps people watching. That said, there's a real split on the rest of the cast; reactions to the supporting doctors, like Amirah Vann's Gina and Omar Metwally's Michael, are almost uniformly negative, with viewers finding them grating or poorly written.
