The adventures of a late-20th-century New York City pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, who, after being unwittingly cryogenically frozen for one thousand years, finds employment at Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery company in the retro-futuristic 31st century.

People love this show, and it's mostly for the humor and the characters. Billy West's voice work as Fry, Professor Farnsworth, and the blowhard Zapp Brannigan is a huge hit, and John DiMaggio's Bender is a standout. The story and originality get more mixed reactions, with some finding the plots uneven, but the jokes and the retro-future vibe from Matt Groening are what keep fans coming back.
