People like the acting, especially Rafe Spall, and find the show pretty funny, but a lot of them are getting fed up with the story. It's a warm comedy about a couple, Nikki and Jason, trying to adopt, but the pacing is a major drag for many, making the whole thing feel like a slog. While Esther Smith as Nikki gets some love, the characters themselves, Jason and Nikki, often frustrate viewers, with a few side characters like Princess and Kat really rubbing people the wrong way.
