I Love Boosters

Boots Riley's latest is a hilarious, stylish, and wildly original heist flick that most people absolutely loved. The story follows a crew of shoplifters, led by Keke Palmer's Corvette, who target a ruthless fashion mogul in the name of 'fashion-forward philanthropy,' and the sheer cleverness of the premise lands perfectly. While the pacing is the one aspect that a few people found too slow, the film is carried by its electric visuals and a killer sense of humor. The cast gets high marks across the board, with Palmer being a particular standout, even if a few other performances, like Demi Moore's Christie Smith, didn't connect with everyone.
