Most people have a good time with this road trip comedy about three friends, Tommy, Fred, and Chad, who drive to L.A. thinking their band is opening for Green Day. The humor is a major win, landing really well and driving the whole thing. Some find the story a bit predictable, but the cast, including Jenna Fischer as Jodi, is solid across the board, with Kylr Coffman's Fred getting especially warm shout-outs. The whole Green Day premise works, too, even if the band itself gets a slightly more mixed reaction than the movie's actual characters.
