Influenced by a sinister Cricket and created by Geppetto, Pinocchio launches a violent crusade to carve himself into a real boy like his brother James, one piece at a time.

Folks are mostly into this wild take on Pinocchio, where he goes on a bloody rampage to become real, and Robert Englund's sinister Cricket is a big part of the appeal. The visuals and darkly funny, original concept are getting tons of love, and Jude Evan Lloyd's voice work as Pinocchio lands well. That said, the story itself is a weak point for many, and the name "Pinocchio Unstrung" itself gets a lot of side-eye. A handful of people also really rip on director Rhys Frake-Waterfield, but they're not the majority. It's a stylish, nasty flick that works if you're here for the vibe, not the plot.
