The real review
The response to this reboot is a resounding shrug, with more people leaning negative than positive. It brings back the original cast — Marlon Wayans as Shorty, Anna Faris as Cindy — for another round of horror movie parodies, but the jokes feel flat and the story is considered painfully unoriginal. The humor and acting get a few nods, but it's mostly seen as a tired retread of a concept that already ran its course.
