The clever premise and strong humor land well, with director Giselle Bonilla getting consistent praise for pulling it off. Will Brill is a standout as the frustrated Doug, with Rob Lowe and Gillian Jacobs also getting perfect marks in their roles, though the story's pacing gets some flack.
