Avengers: Doomsday Popcorn Buckets Revealed at Regal, AMC, Cinemark and More

Doctor Doom is taking over the concession stand. Regal, AMC, Cinemark, Harkins and Marcus Theatres have shown off their Avengers: Doomsday popcorn buckets and cups, and nearly every piece is built around the film's villain. Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18, and Regal, AMC and Harkins start selling their collectibles a day early, on December 17.

One piece turns up everywhere: a Doctor Doom statue bucket, sculpted from the waist up with his arms folded. All five chains that have revealed lineups carry it, so it's the safe pick if you only want one. None of them have posted prices yet.
Regal has five items. The standout is Doom's Throne, a Regal exclusive with Doom seated on top of a tall base that glows green. It comes with a large popcorn. Regal's other exclusive is a Sentinel head, modeled on the giant X-Men robots, and it holds a large drink rather than popcorn. Two combos round it out: a premium set with a stone-look tin and a cup topped by a tiny Doom on his throne, and a simpler tin and cup pair showing the heroes.

AMC is selling four pieces in theaters from December 17. It has its own Sentinel, a purple head with green eyes that holds popcorn, plus the Doom statue, a Bottle of Doom drink container shaped like his hooded head, and a glowing hexagonal Team Icon collectible with three versions to collect, showing the Avengers emblem, the X-Men emblem or Doom himself. The Sentinel and the Team Icon are AMC exclusives. The fine print says the buckets don't come with gourmet popcorn, the bottle takes fountain drinks only, and Stubs upgrades don't apply.

Cinemark's set is coming soon to select locations. Its Doom statue bucket and a tall 3D cup with Doom standing on the lid both light up. There are also four souvenir cups to collect, with The Thing, Black Panther, Doctor Doom and Captain America on them, and three popcorn tins, one of them a Cinemark exclusive. Everything includes free refills on the day you buy it.

Harkins has the biggest lineup, eight items in all, available from an hour ahead of the earliest screening on December 17. Alongside the statue bucket there's a green and silver throne bucket, a chrome bucket with Doom's face on the side, a throne-shaped cup, a black thermos, Bitty Pop blind bags, metal figurines of Doom, Cyclops, Thor and The Thing, and a Doctor Doom blanket.

Marcus Theatres hasn't named its pieces yet, but its preview shows the statue bucket with the back of Doom's hood lifted off for filling, a cup crowned with a small Doom figure, a black thermos and a tin featuring Doom and the Fantastic Four. They'll be sold online and in theaters.

Alamo Drafthouse, B&B Theatres, Showcase and Galaxy haven't revealed theirs yet. Every chain that has is selling its collectibles only while supplies last.
