Blizzard fires WoW dev for using dev powers to kill bosses for friends
A World of Warcraft developer got the axe for using developer-only spells to instantly kill dungeon bosses for a group of regular players, according to multiple reports.
Blizzard announced the firing after internet sleuths dug through combat logs and discovered the forbidden magic in action during a high-level Mythic+ dungeon run. The studio, per PC Gamer, will also be 'taking action' against the players involved.
Rock Paper Shotgun reports the incident involved insta-killing bosses for 'non-dev adventurers.' Blizzard claims, as reported by Kotaku, that they are 'confident this incident was isolated to one individual.'
