Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Gets January 2027 Release Date on Netflix

Netflix has finally named the day for Blue Eye Samurai's return. Per Variety, the second season of the adult animated show will hit the streamer on January 19, 2027.

That's over three years after the first season debuted in November 2023. According to the official logline, protagonist Mizu's violent mission will carry her to London for fresh alliances and familiar enemies, while confronting personal turmoil.

Back in Japan, the story will follow Akemi and Taigen maneuvering through Edo Castle under a threatening new Shogun. Ringo will be on a journey to find a new direction.

The voice cast includes Maya Erskine, Brenda Song, Darren Barnet, and Masi Oka returning, alongside new additions like Jonathan Pryce and Joel Kim Booster. The show, which was renewed for a third and final season last August, is created by Michael Green and Amber Noizumi.
