Borderlands film director calls the $33 million flop a project that 'belonged to nobody'
The director of the video game adaptation Borderlands is speaking out about the movie's disastrous theatrical run.
Eli Roth told Kotaku the film ended up being 'something that belonged to nobody' after a difficult post-production process. He claims the adaptation essentially 'died on the editing room floor.'
The movie, starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart, was a major financial flop, grossing only $33 million at the global box office against a massive reported budget.
