China Box Office Hit 'Once Upon a Time in the Middle East' Tops $300 Million

The war comedy-drama 'Once Upon a Time in the Middle East' has crossed the $300 million mark at the China box office. Per Variety, the film held the number one spot for a fourth weekend in a row.

According to data from Artisan Gateway, the Dirty Monkeys production added another $12.1 million (RMB 82.6 million) from September 4 through 6. This pushed its cumulative total past the major financial milestone.

The film has dominated the mainland Chinese market for over a month, showing no signs of slowing down. Its success continues to be a bright spot for the local industry.
