Cult platformer Rain World getting physical Switch 2 release in anthology bundle
Rain World, the atmospheric platformer-survival game, is finally coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The news broke during indie publisher Akupara Games' first-ever game showcase, per Polygon.
An Anthology Edition of the cult classic will bundle the base game with its two major add-ons for a physical release. The package is planned for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch, but Akupara confirmed it will also launch physically on the upcoming Switch 2 hardware.
The publisher is teaming up with Serenity Forge for the physical production. A standard edition will feature an embossed slip cover, while a pricier Collector's Edition will pack in an art book, a scarf, a keychain, a standee, stickers, and the soundtrack.
Other announcements from the Akupara Direct included a November 5 launch date for Videocult's next game, Airframe Ultra. The show also revealed Bonespire, a wizard-tower crafting sim from the Cryptmaster developers, plus the retro platformer Aokaki and a desktop app called Working with Montabi.
Fans got updates on known titles, too. The second episode of Kumitantei: Old Slaughter arrives on Steam November 12, and The Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon showed off fresh footage and a playable sample.
